MERCY AND JUSTICE (by Sarah M.)

Why could we not cry out to God like David did in the holy Psalms appealing to his Shield and Defender? Why did I have to battle directly face to face with so many demons and never stand up to human beings? Why was it frowned on, to pray for protection, but we always had to ‘stand on our own authority’ in direct conflict with the hosts of hell? They said ‘desire mercy rather than justice’ and if I ever asked God for justice, he would have no mercy on my sins. They said it was ‘law rather than grace’, but surely the law is for the wicked, and God’s grace leads to repentance. Is it not mercy as well as justice to stop the wicked in their tracks, and set a limit on their power? When I knelt down and prayed in tongues sparks flew all around us, and God sent angels to dispel the foe. The false brethren raged and floundered, feeling suddenly threatened by the shaking of their powers… O mighty ones confounded by the weak! ‘Suffer the little ones to come to Me, for of such is the Kingdom of heaven.’ What is an intercessory prayer meeting and what is freedom in the Holy Spirit If one is not allowed to call on God for help? Oh Christians we have been so mistaken to say we cannot appeal for justice to the Lord God of hosts! The importunate widow’s cry was ‘avenge me mine adversary!’ and Jesus said our Father would. So now I pray Lord God Almighty that You avenge us all our foes and judge the wicked ones… knowing that Your judgment is just and You would have none perish, but all come to repentance. Your holiness hates wickedness; Your mercy says I can cry for help. Your justice says You are my advocate. Click on the Icon below for a free prayer manual!

Foot Prints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.” The LORD replied: “My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” written by Carolyn Joyce Carty Deliverance Prayer Psa 140:1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Psa 140:2 Which imagine mischiefs intheir heart; continually are they gathered together forwar.
